Foyle Search & Rescue – Tender Process Request for Information (RFI)

In recent years, Foyle Search & Rescue (FSAR) has increased its operational capabilities to support river-based search and rescue taskings with the development of a dedicated UAV (drone) Team and Sonar Team.

To support these units, FSAR is seeking to repurpose an existing fleet vehicle to serve as a mobile incident command/support unit.

The vehicle will primarily support the UAV Team and Emergency Response Team by serving as a scene-based incident command post for incident management and internal and inter-agency communications. It will allow FSAR personnel to monitor live video and thermal imaging feeds from drones during active rescue taskings and river-based searches.

FSAR is therefore seeking to work with an organisation who specialises in custom vehicle fit-out projects and who can provide a robust turnkey solution to complete all aspects of this project including vehicle preparation, electrical systems and fixtures and fittings.

FSAR has produced a specification for the mobile incident command/support unit will be made available upon request. At the RFI stage, interested parties are required to demonstrate their capabilities and experience in works of this nature by submitting a capability statement or supporting evidence which demonstrates their ability to complete this project. After the RFI stage, the selected interested parties will be invited to submit a detailed tender proposal document for the works. Interested parties are requested to submit an expression of interest by contacting the FSAR Office at foylerescue@gmail.com
