Year 13 students from St. Joseph’s Boys’ School raise money for Foyle Search and Rescue.
As part of their Enrichment Programme Year 13 students took up the challenge to raise over £50 for a nominated charity. They had 5 weeks to complete the Personal Skills Development task.
The students decided on ‘Foyle Search and Rescue’. They chose this charity because it’s a local charity and the boys know that the service Foyle Search and Rescue provide is vital in saving lives in our city.
For their fund raising activity they decided on holding a sponsored movie and managed to raise £110. They thought the event was a great success and after completing the 5 week task everyone agreed they had gained new skills and a sense of achievement.
