I joined FSR as myself and my family did a few charity events in memory of my brother for Foyle search and rescue. To see the hard work that Foyle search and rescue do I New it was something I wanted to be part of and to use some of my life experience to help others in need.
I wanted to volunteer in a suicide prevention charity but wasn’t sure on which one until I found Foyle search and new it was the one. With the friendly staff and the most welcoming volunteers.
My role in Foyle search and rescue is on the shore, I’ve done all shore training, flood and water awareness, conflict training.
